FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before you run your first search.
What is Whozy?
Whozy is a people-search tool. You type a full name, add anything you know about the person if you like, and we scan publicly available sources on the web to build one report with the social media profiles, usernames, contact details and other public information linked to that name.
How does it work?
Your search runs across social networks, dating platforms, people directories and the open web. Findings are cross-checked, grouped into ten categories and linked back to their public source, so you can see at a glance what was found and what wasn’t. A typical search finishes in about a minute.
What can I find with it?
Depending on what a person has made public: social and dating profiles, forgotten or old accounts, online usernames, email addresses or phone numbers that appear publicly, job information, addresses and relationship-related mentions. We only surface information that is already public.
Is it safe and legal to use?
Yes. Whozy only collects information that is already publicly accessible online. We never access private accounts, bypass privacy settings or use non-public data. Whozy is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA, so reports may not be used for employment, tenant screening, credit, insurance or similar decisions. Please use it responsibly and in line with our Terms.
Can people know I searched for them?
No. Searches are completely private. The person you search for is never notified, and we never contact them or share your search with anyone.
Can I use Whozy on mobile devices?
Absolutely. Whozy works in any modern browser on your phone, tablet or computer, and there is nothing to install.
Does it work in every country?
Whozy works worldwide, but results depend on how much public information exists about a person in that region. Coverage is strongest in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and Western Europe. Adding a city, a job or anything else you know about the person noticeably improves accuracy.
What if I can’t find anything?
Some people simply have a very small public footprint. If that happens you still receive a full report that states which categories returned no results, often a useful answer in itself. Try adding a city or double-checking the spelling, and contact support if you think something went wrong.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel at any time from My searches > Account > Cancel subscription, or by emailing support@whozy.ai from the address you used at checkout. If you subscribed through Google Play in the Android app, cancel it in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within the windows in our Refund & Cancellation policy: 7 days after your first subscription payment, 3 days after a renewal charge, and 24 hours after buying an add-on. Email support@whozy.ai from the address you used at checkout and we refund to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days.
How do I remove my information from Whozy?
Email support@whozy.ai with the subject “Data removal request”, tell us who you are and which results you mean. We confirm within 3 business days and complete the request within 30 days, free of charge. You can also delete your own Whozy account and its data from your account settings.
